Overview

Floors that look right and last longer

Hard floors and soft floors each need their own programme. Our floor-care teams maintain everything from terrazzo and marble through vinyl, LVT and polished concrete, to commercial carpet. Periodic strip-and-seal cycles, weekly buff schedules, hot-water carpet extraction, all delivered out-of-hours where needed.

Each floor is logged on a site record so when life-cycle decisions come up, recoat, refresh, replace, you have the data to act on. We supply photographs, condition notes and recommended frequencies, and we adjust as the floor ages.

Our process

How we deliver hard floor maintenance

Hard floors look terrible long before they fail. The trick is a planned maintenance cycle that catches the deterioration before it shows. Every WLC floor care contract runs through four documented stages.

1

Floor survey

Substrate identification (vinyl, LVT, safety floor, polished concrete, terrazzo, wood), condition assessment and identification of any failed seal or damaged areas.

2

Programme design

Maintenance cycle agreed (typically daily clean, weekly scrub, quarterly burnish, annual strip-and-seal), with chemistry, pad selection and access windows documented.

3

Strip-seal or maintenance cycle

Periodic strip-and-seal (typically 4-6 coats of polish, depending on substrate) and ongoing scrub-and-burnish cycles delivered out-of-hours to keep your building running.

4

Inspection & log

Visit-by-visit completion records, photographic before-and-after on periodic work, and a forward maintenance schedule built into the next twelve months.

FAQs

Floor care, common questions

How often should hard floors be stripped and sealed?

Most commercial vinyl and LVT floors benefit from a full strip-and-seal every 12-18 months, with scrub-and-burnish maintenance in between. Higher-traffic environments often move to nine-month cycles.

Can you work out of hours so the building stays operational?

Yes. Strip-and-seal cycles almost always run overnight, at weekends or during half-term shutdowns, with the floor handed back ready for first arrivals. Air movers are deployed to accelerate dry time where needed.

What floor types do you maintain?

Vinyl, LVT, safety floor, polished concrete, terrazzo, marble, sealed wood, lino, rubber, ceramic tile and resin. Chemistry and pads are matched to the substrate at the floor survey, not chosen on the day.

Can you repair damaged floors as well?

We address minor damage as part of normal maintenance (heat marks, scratches, light wear, sealer breakdown). Significant damage or replacement is referred to a flooring contractor, with our specification report on hand.

Can floor care be bundled with daily cleaning?

Yes. Most clients bundle periodic floor care into a daily cleaning contract on a documented annual maintenance schedule, with no separate mobilisation fee and a single named account manager.

Talk to a real account manager, not a call centre.
